Next Step Productions (NSP) provides educational services that promote the objectives of human security, in particular the goal of eradicating landmines, cluster bombs, and other weapons.

The first major project by NSP Films was Disarm, a documentary feature film on the global landmine problem completed in mid-2005 and issued on DVD in 2009.  NSP Research oversaw the production of Banning Landmines: Disarmament, Citizen Diplomacy, and Human Security, a book edited by Jody Williams, Stephen D Goose, and Mary Wareham. In 2010, NSP Films produced a short documentary film entitled Cluster Munitions: Banned in New Zealand.

Next Step Productions was established by New Zealander Mary Wareham in 2003. It is a Washington DC-based non-profit organization registered in the United States (Tax ID # 05-0584444).
